What Goes On

A random bunch of goings-on from a bored (possibly sleep-deprived) hippie-Neopagan-Goddess-worshipping-loony.

The Schwan's guy came. God bless the Schwan's guy. Not all that bright, but he brought FOOD. *Snoopy dance* Tonight's dinner is potato and cheese pierogies. :DDDDD Yayz! Leiko loves pierogies.

Since the Schwan's guy took so long in unloading our food, I got to watch a gorgeous sunset over the trees. :D Also, the mimosa trees across the street are blooming beautifully. They ALWAYS bloom beautifully, because of those pink firework flowers, y'know. But when the sun sets on it, it looks extra-beautiful. *nods*There's a very short path into the woods with trees draping over to form a natural arch over the creek. *_____* Sometimes I wonder who made that path; there haven't been kids here in years (and the kids who DO live here don't go near the woods like Josh and I used to). My brother's forays were usually limited to the other end of the woods, up near Paisley. So it's a great mystery to stop and think about. Maybe fairies live in the woods? Who knows?

Also: It's kind of strange to look across the street and see pine trees growing on land that was once only covered with yellow grass and was a straight-up slope leading down from Marci's yard to the woods. I used to run around and play hide-and-seek there and, yes, I used to pull little baby pine trees up by the roots just to see if I could. Amazing what a few years can do to a tree, isn't it?I wonder if our clubhouse is still over there. Josh, his friends, and I once dragged my old bed frame over to a little thicket between four trees and constructed a little clubhouse. I think it'd be worth exploring to see what's become of it (since I don't remember anybody going to tear it down themselves).
