This is where I post most of what I don't want to share at LJ for fear of ending up on i_wank.

I kind of like it here; sure, some of my more "profound" thoughts seem to just zip right into the vaccuum of the Internet, but it's rather nice when you don't have your friends condescendingly snapping at you for your opinions. I wouldn't mind if they disagreed politely, i.e., "That's an interesting view. Here's mine," instead of "Um, no. You see, (this) is how (that) is supposed to go." I don't mind being corrected nicely because I didn't know something, but it always makes me want to hit something when somebody replies snottily and speaks to me in the tone of one who is dealing with an idiotic child. I know I'm not the brightest crayon in the shed, but that's really no reason to talk to me as if you're dealing with a complete dumbass.

Random note: I'm obsessed with this song (Bargain).

Also: I might go to Mom's this weekend, because Karen's bringing some family member over, and I don't like interacting with Karen or her family very much. I've just about given up on spreading love and compassion to them; they're quite obsessed with money, but they're just about the most miserable people I've ever met (the same could be said for everybody else my father knows). Ugh.
