I love comic books. Most of the stories I write are about superheroes by some description. I only wish I could draw better than I can--most of my stories are more fitted to a visual medium than a text one.
I have a lot of superheroes who have a lot of different things to do. Vampire crimefighters, witches who save magic princesses, magicians who rule dream worlds, angels, demons, half-breeds, and all other kinds.
The first original story I ever wrote was about a vampire. He was searching for the man who bit him and turned him, so that he could kill him and become a normal human again. He was a card shark and a con artist, and that's how he met his sidekick. I forget what her name is, but maybe it was Ivy? I dunno. Anyway, she had run away from home and nobody in her town was sure of her fate. Morpheus--the vampire--was starving for blood. She offered him all he could eat if he promised not to tell anybody that she had disappeared of her own free will.
The next one was a bit more lighthearted. It was The Black Sheep--a priest who served the poor and outcasts from society, helping to exorcise their inner demons. He was very friendly and kindhearted and had trouble sticking to that whole "no sex" thing from his priestly vows. He also lugged around a blue electric guitar, wore yellow glasses at all times, and had spiky hair dyed blue. His sidekick was a water nymph or something like that. He didn't have many adventures of his own, but he does appear quite often in other stories--like Harpy Angel (one of my favorite continuing projects that I REALLY want to commit to comic form) and Guardian Angel Lyxemi.
I really would like to bring these back to life. It gets rather crowded inside my head when I can't write this stuff down. Or draw it down. Whichever.
