What Goes On

A random bunch of goings-on from a bored (possibly sleep-deprived) hippie-Neopagan-Goddess-worshipping-loony.

I haven't slept well today. First, the dogs barking woke me up. Then it was Karen's nephew with his craptacular music played way too loud. Then it was the fact that I had to throw the door open to my room because I thought my sheets would catch on fire. It's so bleedin' hot here. Which I really don't mind, but it's a bitch to try and sleep in.

Been thinking about conducting an experiment--putting down two lumps of raw cookie dough on a cookie sheet outside and seeing how long it takes to actually cook in the sun. Maybe I'll pop it in my car and see. (One time, I had a combination whistle/mini-thermometer/compass thing, and I left it in the car while Gram and I visited the estuarium in Washington, NC. We came back about 45 minutes later and the temperature according to the whistle's thermometer was 135 degrees. I shit you not.)

I like to heat, really, but it's a bitch to try and sleep in when your windows are at the front of the house, directly in front of the sun, and it's like being an ant under a magnifying glass.
